Zhang Zhenqi, Zi Wenqi, was born in Chongqing, China in July 1948. He is currently the deputy director of the Institute of Chinese Traditional Art and Culture of Peking University, a researcher, the dean of the Zhang Daqian Art Research Institute of China, the deputy dean of the Chinese Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, and a painter. Mr. Zhang Zhenqi has studied calligraphy and ink since he was a child, and loved the art of calligraphy and calligraphy all his life. He especially loved Mr. Zhang Daqian for splashing ink and color. Over the years, his calligraphy and painting skills have been well received in the industry.
In June 2008, at the invitation of the French Ministry of Culture and approved by the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China, he attended the "Art Capital" art exhibition held at the Grand Palais in France in November 2008. His works have been selected as the "Art Capital of the Grand Palais" "Selected Works of Calligraphy and Painting", whose paintings and calligraphy works are in the permanent collection of the French Ministry of Culture Museum. In June 2013, a special exhibition of calligraphy and calligraphy was held in Beijing.
In July 2013, a calligraphy and painting exhibition was held in Shandong Province, and 60 of his works were collected by collectors in three days. In August 2014, he was invited to participate in the National Museum to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, a joint exhibition of works by Chinese and French calligraphy and painting masters, providing three paintings.
In September 2014, he was invited to participate in a joint exhibition of Chinese and foreign famous paintings and calligraphy held by Shenzhen Great Wall Art Museum, providing more than 50 paintings. In November 2014, he was invited to participate in the China Shenzhen Exhibition Hall to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Long March, providing 20 splash-color paintings specially created for the 80th anniversary of the Long March.
On March 21, 2015, Mr. Zhang Zhenqi originally presented the ink-splashing landscape (four feet opposite each other) to the Hong Kong JP, Mr. Rong Fanhui, to participate in a charity auction held by the Hong Kong Charity Federation. After a number-theoretic auction, the final transaction price was Hong Kong dollars. 460,000 yuan, this amount was immediately donated to local charity organizations.
On May 18, 2015, in order to promote traditional Chinese culture, Mr. Zhang Zhenqi was invited by Xinyang Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Xinyang Museum to carefully select more than 100 paintings and calligraphy works to exchange and share with the people of Xinyang City. The exhibition lasted for seven days and received unanimous praise from all walks of life. The exhibition was a complete success.
On November 13, 2015, China Zhang Daqian Art Research Institute and Yantai Painting Academy jointly organized the "Don't Dream Vaguely—Mr. Zhang Zhenqi's Colorful Landscape Works Exhibition. The exhibition lasted for four days and was well received by viewers from all walks of life. The exhibition was a complete success. On December 21-23, 2015, which is the 16th anniversary of Macao’s return, at the invitation of the Macao Artists Association and the Asian Culture and Art Exchange Center, the "Don’t Dream Faintly in the Haojiang River-Zhang Zhenqi, a famous painter of Chinese landscape "Works Exhibition" Macau media rushed to report, and the exhibition was a complete success.
In July 2016, the CCTV "Discovery Journey" "Charming China" film crew completed the feature film "Don't Dream Vaguely-Entering Calligrapher Zhang Zhenqi" in Chengdu.
On October 29, 2016, the Summit Forum for Promoting Zhao Puchu's Noble Thoughts and the National Famous Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition were held in the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Auditorium. The exhibited work "Climbing the Heights" won the only gold award and special contribution award in this exhibition.
On October 29, 2016, Mr. Zhang Zhenqi was invited to participate in the 109th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Zhao Puchu and the National Famous Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition held in the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Auditorium. He won the gold medal and the best contribution award for his "Climbing Picture".
November 5, 2017, Beijing Summit Forum for Commemorating the 110th Anniversary of Zhao Puchu's Birth and Chinese Famous Painting and Calligraphy The ink and splash color "Tian Lai" created by the exhibition was awarded the only gold prize by the conference organizing committee.
In May 2018, Wang Dongxi, Chairman of China Soong Ching Ling International Foundation, announced in Shenzhen that the highest art award "Ching Ling Maple Leaf Award", which commends outstanding representatives of Chinese folk old artists, would be awarded to Mr. Zhang Zhenqi.
At the International Charity Auction held in Singapore on May 18, 2018, Mr. Zhang Zhenqi donated a picture of "Peach Creek Far Sails" about 2 square feet. The auction was hosted by Singapore President Harima Jacobs personally. Nearly 100,000 yuan was donated to charity on the spot.
