Miao Youling from East Fujian. During 1977, he was admitted to the Department of Fine Arts, Fujian University.

Teachers are Professor Gao Yihu and Professor Xue Xingbiao.

From 1990 to 1993, he studied in Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.

He was taught by Professor Wang Zhaomin,

Professor Zhou Daji and Professor Xu Jianbai.
