Emma Andijewska, born on March 19, 1931 in Donetsk, Ukraine, is a Ukrainian national treasure painter, poet and writer. Proficient in English, German, French, Ukrainian, Russian and Latin. After graduating from the Free University in Ukraine in 1957, her family moved to the United States. In 1959, she married Iwan Koscheliwetz, a Ukrainian literary critic, essayist, and writer who lived in the United States. In 1962, she officially became an American citizen. From 1965 to 1995, she served as the editor and spokesperson of Ukrainian Radio Free Europe in Munich. Emma Angelevska lived in Munich, Germany for most of her life.
As an avant-garde artist, Emma Anjieevska has created more than 10,000 works so far. Although she has never received formal art education, many of her excellent works of art have been included in well-known art encyclopedias around the world and collected by famous art galleries and museums in Europe and the United States, mysterious and full of spirituality.
In April 2011, the 80-year-old Emma received a critical illness notification from a German hospital: due to the more serious heart disease, heart failure, coupled with tuberculosis, cystitis, intestinal polyps, body edema and other complications have become too serious to be controlled. She can only be treated conservatively. After the painkiller is prescribed, Emma is asked to go home to recuperate. The doctor said that she has about one month to live, and Emma is psychologically prepared.
After half a month of mental suffering, Emma suddenly remembered that her friend had introduced a Chinese medicine doctor named Guo Xiaoling to her, and she quickly contacted the Chinese medicine doctor for treatment. After acupuncture and cupping, more than a month later, I went to a German hospital for review. The results surprised the German doctors. I was in a German hospital and insisted on going to this Chinese medicine doctor for treatment. Under the persistent treatment of Chinese physician Guo Xiaoling 1-3 times a week, until today, 7 years later, 87-year-old Emma is getting healthier and healthier. Now her blood test value is very good. There was no age spot, which surprised German doctors.
Emma is a caring and charitable artist. In her life, she
has donated her art works and money to help those in need, especially students and young artists with special artistic talents.
Emma's husband has been dead for many years, without children. She often said that before she passed away, she must do something she can do for the China and the Chinese people she loves. In November 2015, the 84-year-old Emma Anjieevska authorized the exhibition and sales rights of her artistic and literary works exclusively to Mr. Li Minggang under the recommendation of Guo Xiaoling Chinese physician. She hopes to be able to sell in China In the form of "Emma International Art Charity Foundation", part of the income from the exhibition and sales of her few art works and literary works is used to fund those students and artists with special artistic talents in China who are in urgent need of help.

Emma Angelevska's early works were mainly watercolor paintings, and her middle and late works were mainly oil paintings and acrylic paintings. Emma Angelevska’s acrylic paintings are well-known for her unique painting skills. Her unique painting method is that she repeats the painting method of paint layering on the canvas, each painting has as many as 25 layers. In this way, she is like creating a three-dimensional moving picture, and you can enjoy different color effects from different angles. Emma said that her unique painting technique actually benefits from her knowledge and understanding of traditional Chinese lacquer art.
Emma Angelievska’s artwork first appeared in Munich on Radio Free Europe in 1956, followed by the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Brazil, Israel, Italy, Spain, Ukraine, and Saudi Arabia. He has held solo exhibitions around the world such as Switzerland.
Numerous museums and private collectors are proud to collect the works of Emma Andeevska, including the Museum of the Czech Republic, the National Museum of Ukraine, the Kharkov Museum, the Lviv Art Gallery, and the New York Museum of Art , Charlotte Sandel Museum, L. Thomas Museum, Uzrats Museum, etc.
The highest collection price of Emma's oil paintings in the market was 1 million euros a decade ago. Now 87-year-old Emma Anjieevska still has a few paintings in his hands. Regardless of from the current or long-term perspective, Emma Angelevska's paintings have great collection value and have great room for appreciation.
At the 2011 Bavarian International Film Festival, the famous Italian film director Francesco Rossi was awarded Emma Angelevska’s oil painting "Golden Christ" as a prize. She also created illustrations for Mozart's opera "The Magic Flute", as well as a large number of illustrations for the original version of Tarot cards and astrology.
